This beautiful, delicate and fine original piece of hand painted Rajasthani artwork, a Moghul miniature, is of a peacock in full feather painted on black silk.
It dates back to my travels in India in the 1990s.
The brushwork, picked out in gold paint is very fine. 
The painting itself measures 10 cm x 10 cm, with a white mount measuring 18 cm x 14 cm.
